Justin Friedman - founder
Justin is founder of Greenhouse, facilitating green marketing and communications and strategy. He spent many years developing products, managing global distribution, and licensing brands for worldwide events and designers. He worked in the UK, Europe and Hong Kong focusing on developing ethical sourcing of apparel and houseware products. He has been involved in many sustainable initiatives including ‘The Future of Food’ film, the Bioneers Conference and CO-OP America.

Juliet Browne - strategist
Juliet obtained an Honours Degree in Marketing and also won the Young Marketer of the Year award before gaining invaluable traditional marketing experience at Parmalat South Africa (FMCG). She has many years experience in marketing including: market research, product development, branding, strategy, implementation, promotions and distribution. Whilst abroad in the UK and Ireland she spent time working within the IT and Retail sectors. Upon her return she successfully established the Cape Town office of a strategic marketing company. Clients have included: Proudly South African, National Responsible Gambling, WESGRO, CTRU, CT Tourism and many more. Juliet joined Greenhouse to work with a team of likeminded individuals and to do work aligned with the “green marketing” approach and her personal vision for business.

Stuart Rothgiesser – copy writer
Stuart is an award-winning writer, researcher and editor in the fields of education, heritage, the environment, land and agrarian reform, and philanthropy with over eight years' experience in the North American, U.K. and South African markets. His print journalism work can be seen in the Mail and Guardian, the Cape Argus, the Weekend Argus, Sawubona, The Property Magazine, Mind Shift and Energy Forecast - among others – in the fields of the environment, travel and tourism, cultural history and property.

Nicole Chamberlin – PR specialist
Nicole has a 16-year track record of extensive public relations, journalism and marketing experience. She has a diploma from Wits Technikon in public relations and journalism as well as a BComm degree from Oxford Brookes University in London majoring in business management and marketing. Nicole has worked in numerous public relations consultancies as account director and specialist writer as well as marketing manager for a variety of corporate companies. She has had strategic and implementation experience in press publicity, crisis/reputation management, brand development, media training, eventing, internal communications, promotions and team building events. Clients have included: Operation Smile, Ikamva Labuntu , MAD Foundation, Farm & Garden National Trust, Kaiser Family Foundation, Nelson Mandela Foundation, Ufudo Township Shack Richard Branson’s township gyms, Nelson Mandela Health/Human Rights Awards, Desmond Tutu’s 75th Birthday

Catherine Barnhoorn – Art creative
Fascinated by the art of communication, Catherine obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (English and Psychology) from UCT and then obtained a Diploma in Advertising (with specialisation in Graphic Design) from the Cape Town AAA School of Advertising. Catherine has 9 years experience in various fields of the Media and Marketing industry. She began as a Graphic Designer in London working on global brands such as: Deutsche Bank, Valdivieso; Dell Computers, Lexus, Upon her return to SA she founded her own agency designing for brands such as: Synovate, African Response, Conexus, The ANC, Didata, Catherine then accepted the simultaneous positions of Global Brand Manager and Marketing Manager (Africa Region) for Synovate; Marketing Manager for African Response; and, Marketing Manager for Conexus. Following this Catherine then took up the position of Account Director at GRID Worldwide Branding and Design heading up the accounts for Investec, Virgin Mobile and Converse. Catherine has returned to her role as a creative and is now fulfilling a promise she made to “do good through design” by working on creative projects aimed at social and environmental upliftment.

Mark Urry - communication designer
Mark obtained a BTech Degree in Communication design. He was adjudicated as one of the runners-up in the SABS Design Achievers Awards and exhibited at the Design Indaba as one of 20 Emerging Creatives. He is passionate about innovative concepts, the power of visual communication and the responsibility that it brings. He is currently following his passion for exploring and encouraging debate over more socially conscious marketing, advertising and design models. Mark has experience within brand development, packaging, publications, design for print, website design and new media. Past clients have included CTRU, INSETA, LIBSA, Limpopo Tourism, the City of Polokwane and NRGP.. His holistic view of the role of design within marketing and society, commitment to excellence and creative energy make him a valued part of the team.
